If you’re lucky enough to work with Sydney, DO IT.
In full disclosure, Syd is a good friend of mine. And while you might assume I chose her because of that, you couldn’t be more wrong. Like many people in Nashville, I have plenty of friends who are real estate agents, and honestly I’d almost rather work with someone I didn’t know than have to pick between them. But I’d watched Sydney work for other clients—long before I was even house-hunting—and I remember thinking, “wow, she’s really good at this.” The way she fights for her buyers with so much energy and care made it obvious I’d be lucky to have her in my corner when it was my turn.
From start to finish, she made the process seamless. I’m the type of buyer that scours Zillow like it’s a full-time job and actually found the house I ended up buying, but Syd handled everything that came next. I dragged her to plenty of houses that were totally unrealistic, and she never once made me feel silly for wanting to look. She gave me the space to explore while gently keeping me grounded—always patient, even when I was frustrated with myself.
When it came time to make an offer, Syd flipped into full strategist mode. She’s a bulldog in the best way—tough, prepared, and relentless about getting the best deal—but the cute, charming, friendly kind…think more French Bulldog 🙃. She delivers that tenacity with a calm, easy confidence that keeps everyone at the table comfortable.
Throughout it all she was endlessly responsive, kept every moving piece on track, and somehow made me feel like her only client. Buying a house is stressful, but with Syd steering the ship it felt surprisingly easy. I found a house that I absolutely love, at a price that I love even more.
In the end, I can say with total confidence that I didn’t just pick a friend—I picked the best agent for the job. If you’re lucky enough to have Sydney at your disposal, don’t hesitate you won’t regret it.
