In the 1980's, my father, who was an airplane owner with a private pilot's license, bought a 15 acre parcel in Wasco (now Campton Hills) with the intention of building his personal residence, a hangar, and a landing strip. Before he could realize his dream, he was diagnosed with cancer and died in 1989. My mother survived him for another 15 years, and the land continued to be leased to a local farmer. When Mom died in 2004, ownership passed to me, my 5 brothers, and my sister. For the next 19 years, the 7 partners could not agree on how to develop or transfer the property, until Susan helped us agree to list and sell it in 2023. Susan presented herself as a rural and equestrian property expert who had sold many parcels in the area. She promised to aggressively market on several platforms, and to maintain regular contact with all of us. She handled this admirably, providing timely communications and reports. We successfully closed our sale in June, 2024, thanks largely to Susan's diligent efforts. I highly recommend Susan Chylek based on the professionalism she demonstrated throughout our transaction.

Selling our equestrian property could have been long and difficult but Susan did a great job to market our property and it was sold faster than we expected. The entire process was seamless and easy.

During the lengthy process of selling a multimillion dollar horse farm, Susan was always professional and pro-active. She kept me informed of the status of negotiations and her observations of potential offerees (about which she was always spot-on). One of the frustrating things that can happen when a property is on the market is that the agent "goes dark", i.e. just quits communicating. This never happened with Susan and I never felt that she had lost interest, or wasn't working at the sale. Ultimately she produced a transaction at a price close to what she had predicted on day one. Then she shepherded it through closing without a hiccup, recommending an attorney and dealing with an out-of-state corporate buyer. During the entire process Susan displayed a real knowledge of the equine real estate market and equine matters in general. (She is a long-time horsewoman herself.) She listened to - and acted upon - our desire to find a buyer that would maintain the rural nature of the property rather than subdivide it, and our disdain for speculators.
