Steve Cawthon Bio With a distinguished real estate career spanning more than four decades, this seasoned REALTOR® has been licensed since 1977 and has held a Broker License since 1983. From 1983 to 1998, he served as President of Joe Steele Realty before merging with Century 21 to form CENTURY 21 Steele and later CENTURY 21 Prestige. Throughout Steve's career, he marketed and sold numerous residential communities, including Somerby at Jones Farms (also known as Brookdale), Main Street Lofts at the Village of Providence, Somerset Lakes, Mount Hope Place, Highland Lakes, and Magnolia Springs patio homes, along with individual homes throughout the Tennessee Valley. Steve's leadership extends deeply into the real estate industry. He served as an Alabama Real Estate Commissioner from 2007 to 2017 and were State President for the Alabama Association of REALTORS® in 2002. Nationally, he contributed in multiple capacities within the National Association of REALTORS®, including Chair for the Medium State Forum (2012), National Director (2002-2012), and RPAC Trustee (2004-2008). Additional leadership roles include President of the Huntsville Area Association of REALTORS® (1995), Regional Vice President for North Alabama (1997), and NAR Coordinator for Congressman Brooks. His outstanding contributions have been recognized with numerous honors, including Huntsville REALTOR® of the Year (1996), Alabama REALTOR® of the Year (2003), and the prestigious Alabama REALTORS® David D. Roberts Award (2009). In 2008, he inducted into the NAR/RPAC Hall of Fame, reflecting his lasting impact on the profession.
