I actually had been talking with another realtor who was the son of a friend and also a very bright, ambitious young man, but I chose Mr. Bussman because he seemed to pay more attention to detail, chose to communicate with my by phone instead of only e-mail and text, generally made me feel as important as his other clients which may have given him larger commissions.

When we went to sell our home, we had the opportunity to experience the worst and the best of selling a home. Steve performed great in both experiences. The first round of selling our home Steve nailed the list price on our house and we got multiple offers in the first week. We wanted a 45 day escrow, which the buyer agreed to. However the person with the strongest offer ended up choosing a horrible lender and agent. Steve stepped up and covered for the lacking in the other agent. He was calling and pushing the deal through daily with the lender. Buyer was sending signals all was well and when he fired his lender, we allowed the buyer to restart the lending process. We were building a home out of state and had time. Steve still pushed through trying to close the deal. After a 2+ month escrow, all was ready to go and the buyer stopped responding. After pulling out of the deal, we relisted the home. Since we moved out of the home it sat empty. Steve had a connection to stage our home. Within a week of the staging, we had multiple offers again. Steve helped us work through the offers. Because of the first experience, Steve really vetted the second buyers agent, which helped us feel at ease. A 30 day escrow only took about 2 weeks. Steve's interaction with the various agents was as important in finally choosing the right deal as the offers themselves.
