Skip Adams

We fell in love with the beauty of the high desert after visiting New Mexico last summer. We live in Virginia, and after coming home from our visit, we began looking online at houses in the Albuquerque area. We also looked at real estate companies on YouTube, specifically for realtor postings. The realtor who most impressed us was Skip Adams of SoldbySkip. He is a native of Albuquerque and he not only has extensive knowledge of the local real estate market, he also posts videos of different areas around Albuquerque. We then had a general idea of where we wanted to search, so we planned a house hunting trip in early April with Skip and his team member David Binder, also an Albuquerque native. This trip was really to get an idea of where we should focus our search on a second house hunting trip. We could not move from Virginia until mid-September, so a closing in August would have been perfect. We had liked one house in particular in Rio Rancho, but it was too early to commit, and it was also at the top of our price range. But the view of the Sandia Mountains from this house was stunning, and the tiered backyard was perfect. We would get updates on houses we had saved on our various online house searches, and in mid-May we got a notice from Zillow that this particular house had dropped in price. We called Skip to check in and to note that this house was now at a lower price. Skip was prescient and said we must be interested. It was still too early to close on a house, but he was right. Skip advised us on the negotiations, and luckily the seller gave us some grace, and we didn’t need to close until mid-July, a little early but doable. We love our new home and can’t wait to be there in September. Thanks to SoldbySkip and his YouTube videos for introducing us to Skip Adams. Also, we wanted WiFi and a security system installed. David Binder was kind enough to spend the better part of his day helping us with this task which was truly appreciated.

We met Skip long before we were ready to sell our property. He kept in touch and when it was time for us to sell Skip didn’t waste any time. He took care of everything, photos, appraisals, walk throughs etc.. We trusted his judgement and felt he had our best interest in mind. We highly recommend Skip to anyone buying or selling a home in the ABQ area

Skip had comprehensive knowledge of the whole area and we were quickly able to identify properties that could meet my needs. He was constantly available and handled everything in the most professional, efficient manner with minimum fuss.

Skip is very responsive with communication even when the situation does not go as expected. He lays out how the market is doing and what to expect. If I were doing this again I would ask and pay for an appraisal so I would have a greater understanding and expectation of the market price and the selling price expectations.

We are from out of state, and located Skip Adams through Sold by Skip on YouTube. He was always available and quick to respond to our many questions, and keep us updated on properties that might fit our needs. We just closed on our home, and can highly recommend Skip!

Working with Skip was a great experience. He was always responsive, explained things clearly, and you could tell he has been in real estate for a long time. One thing that really stood out was how hard he worked to help us compete for a home in a challenging multiple-offer situation. Because we needed to sell our house first, our offer included a contingency. Instead of simply accepting the limitations, Skip came up with several creative financing ideas and worked with Waterstone Mortgage to see if we could make the deal work without the contingency. We ultimately didn't get the home, but I was impressed by his effort, creativity, and commitment to helping us find every possible option.
