Seven years ago Shirley helped us with a home purchase and how quickly you can forget how much is involved in the process, but if you are selling or buying a home (or both at same time like we just did) Shirley Richards is your best bet to stay sane during it. It all starts with the prep. She did a ton of research on the area and the comps for similar homes for the listing for our house and together we came to an agreement as to a competitive listing price, the photo selection, and the phrasing for the home description (must've been good as an offer came on the second day). On our purchase she helped us write the winning offer (there were 4 offers from other bidder) and she coordinated both our sale and purchase as efficiently as we could have hoped for. From offer to contract to closing she, and her assistant Cabot, treat each level of the transaction with such care and attention to detail that you would think they are buying/selling their own homes. We are definitely glad we chose Shirley Richards for our realtor for our sale and buy and will continue to recommend her wholeheartedly to friends and family.
Just like her logo states, Shirley moves fast! She is a super energetic, responsive and knowledgeable real estate agent (especially as it pertains to the Westlake Village real estate market). While I was in the process of selling my home, Shirley answered all my questions on a timely basis and also gave me very specific recommendations as to how I could make my home more appealing to buyers. Additionally, while escrow was taking place, she closely monitored the entire process to ensure escrow would close fast and on schedule. I am very pleased Shirley represented me during the sale of my home and cannot recommend her enough!
Shirley ran a very smooth process and kept us well-informed. We listed at a very attractive price and considered offers two weeks after the listing date. There was no need to negotiate since the buyer bid above out asking price and did not ask for any concessions after the inspection. Maybe we could have gotten a bit more for the house but overall we were happy with a smooth and fast transaction.
