I was very skeptical when Pat told me he was leaving me with ? to handle my sale while he was in Florida. But then I didn't know him from Adam either. Shelly came along with him on his initial visit so we could connect. I recall her being a seasoned agent in the real estate world, and I wouldn't work with a newbe. I needed someone who knew exactly what I wanted and needed, would give 110% to get the job done, keep me apprised of all goings on, and be truthful with me. She did all of these. She was empathetic with my situation, told me exactly what I had to do with the house to make it "show ready", explained the comp sales to me and what to expect, and answered the myriad of questions I had for her. I didn't want to bother phoning her so I e-mailed. It wasn't that important that it couldn't wait a few hours or a day. I told her I needed the terms of the sale for my convenience which was out of the ordinary but it had to be that way; and she understood. She assured me not to worry about certain concerns I had and was very compassionate about my story. Being the private person I am, she was very easy to open up to and listen which I needed. She accommodated any request I had and was very professional and honest with me. I didn't need things sugar coated. Granted, she didn't have to do much to sell the house as it sold itself on the first day. But there is much followup to accepting an offer. She worked around my schedule, got everything taken care of, and we waited for 3 months to close. I was terribly nervous regarding that time frame and just knew a glitch would intervene, but she assured me things were moving right along and that wouldn't happen if the buyers were at all skeptical. I was glad she attended the closing with me privately, knew she had to finalize the closing with the buyers on d day, and was in no hurry to leave upon meeting me at the office to give me a check and closing statement. She can sell a house for me anytime.
