My wife and I bought our dream house thanks to Wayne and Sheila. They handled many of the details even though we were not local buyers. We closed escrow on time and we are very happy with our new home. Having said that, I had a very negative experience with them regarding finances. They recommended a local (on-island) lender who quoted me a very high interest rate. They also said multiple times that the lender who I had chosen (an off-island lender) might not know all of the local customs and issues that would help me close on this loan. Due to the multiple times that they brought this issue up, I felt pressured to use their on-island lender. They also stated to me that the listing agent might not accept an offer from an off-island lender. And they stated that she did not like that I had used an off-island lender, when I made the offer. I did not use the local lender and I saved over $4,000 a year in mortgage costs with the lender I chose. And he did a fantastic job of handling all of the issues that came up. My take-away from this is that you always have to do your own homework. The only person with your best interest in mind is you.
