About Scott

“Living the Dream” I have been blessed with serving our country in the US Coast Guard over the past 30-years. Many lessons shaped the young man that joined the Coast Guard back in 1988. But no lesson more important than the calling to “help others”, it’s what the Coast Guard is all about. In fact, our motto “Semper Paratus” means “Always Ready”, are great words to live by. This journey also allowed my family and I to experience and learn many lessons as we lived as far south as the Florida Keys and north as the last frontier of Alaska. But growing roots in our most favorite spot we have lived or even visited, this area of Eastern North Carolina has been our home for the last 8-years. I have advanced from E1 to CWO4 and experienced everything people read about the Coast Guard from Lifesaving and search & rescue during storms to counter drugs operations throughout the Caribbean. I also had the great fortune to be the Commanding Officer to a 170’ ship right here in beautiful Atlantic Beach, North Carolina. People ask all the time “why did you stay in so long; wasn’t it hard on the family moving every 2 to 4 years?” It was hard! But we were gifted to witness our great nation first hand, experiencing many of our cultures and the people that make America the greatest nation in the world. Plus, I was able to help people and I truly believe that is what the good Lord had in mind when he created Scott McAloon! For the past 20-years while in the service I have bought and sold homes part time while in Rhode Island, Wisconsin, South Carolina, Tennessee, and now the great state of North Carolina. Helping many of my fellow service members, friends, and church family with investing and home ownership. Now that my family and I have found our perfect spot let me help you to “live the dream” in eastern Carolina.
