Our experience began with Schuyler sitting down with us and talking through the home buying process as well as the current realities of the Connecticut market. Based on our input (rehab-budget, ideal rehab home, an ideal location for an investment property), he provided ideas on neighborhoods that might fit our wants/needs and what type of home we might expect to find within our budget. To start, we spent approximately two days looking in each of the neighborhoods we selected and checking out listings while Schulyer spent time talking about the pros/cons of the different things we saw in each house. We were very specific home shoppers, so we definitely tested his knowledge about local communities and types of homes, and we're never disappointed with his responses. Most important to us, Schuyler was always honest with us about what he thought about each property, was always available and helpful, and we always felt that he truly had our best interests at heart. Even now, more than a month after closing, and two properties close with Schuyler we are working on looking for our third deal.
Schuyler is a complete professional, very knowledgeable, reliable, responsive and just an all round great guy. I could not imagine going through our home buying process with anyone else. We were moving from out of state and each time we came out to CT, he carved out time to allow for us to see several listings. He was beyond patient with us and guided us through the entire process. After seeing Schuyler close a few houses on Linkedin, I inboxed him about buying a house since we were in the market. We set up a phone call to discuss expectations prior to visiting his office. From the first conversation, we knew he was our guy. We visited his office and he explained the entire house buying process from beginning to end. Felt like a realtor afterwards haha. We visited multiple homes and everyone we visited he provided his feedback. It did not feel like he was just helping just for a paycheck. He wanted to help us find something that met our needs. Very responsive when we wanted to go look at houses. After viewing a few houses, we found the one. He was the voice between us and the sellers agent. He even provided us with checklist so that we can understand everything that we had to accomplish in order to close. The excel file was a great tool for us to keep track of everything we did.
