Sarah invited herself into our home because she sold our neighbors property and knew that we were getting ready to sell our home but had a realtor of our own. Sarah knew that she would have to really impress us to take our listing so she gave us a very high evaluation. She sounded very confident and enthused and led us to believe that she stood by what she claimed. She pulled out a contract and expected us to sign so we did and it was a huge mistake. We cleared out a garage full of expensive power tools, racks, and machines and either sold them for pennies on the dollar or gave them away because we were led to believe that this home would sell fast and the high price would justify a short term loss on our possessions. Just two weeks later Sarah sent me a text message suggesting a price reduction of $100,000! Not a single figure was disclosed to what we thought the home should sell for and our listing price is a number that Sarah came up with all on her own. The expectations have been grossly overstated to secure the contract and the experience has been an absolute nightmare. We gave Sarah two keys to our home, one for the lockbox and another for her to keep at the office and she refuses to admit that she has an additional copy. We now have to replace the front door lock for safety. Tread lightly.
