Sandy was recommended to me from my girlfriend who had previously bought and sold with Sandy years ago. From the start I felt very confident in Sandy's skills. I felt very comfortable discussing offers, counteroffers, etc. A hiccup arose regarding flood insurance which would have caused unintended costs at closing with a less experienced realtor. She got a survey of the property done which lowered my closing costs by about $2,000. Furthermore, I barely had to lift a finger in the survey process. I would recommend her to everyone I know.

I recently closed on a house purchase with Sandy Skousen as my realtor. I will leave a quick comment on each of the four areas consisting of local knowledge, process expertise, responsiveness, and negotiation skills. Before that, however, I will say that Sandy made the entire process from house hunting to signing of closing documents and enjoyable, yes enjoyable, experience. On to the reviews: 1) Local knowledge: Sandy made recommendations on mortgage company, home inspector, and roofer. She is very knowledgeable on local businesses and real estate. With her help it was easy to narrow down my home search to just areas that I would be interested in living in. 2) Process expertise: No problems. She was always a step ahead of the process and was always aware of what would come next and because of this she was able to prep me on what documents or services I should start to look into. 3) Responsiveness: Excellent. Sandy went out of country during my closing on a trip that had been scheduled prior to my home purchase. Even when she was in a different time zone she was very responsive. 4) Negotiation skills: Post home inspection I asked for cash back in response to the several repairs that were called for by the home inspector. I was hoping to get half of what I was asking. Sandy was able to get everything that I asked for. I would use her again just for her negotiation skills.

Sandy Skousen from the beginning, gave me confidence, that she knew her occupation well. She arrived at my house, took pictures of the property, and explained the selling process to me. She then showed me several comparable properties that were already on the market (the MLS), and explained to me how she came to a sales price, that was reasonable. And she was correct, as the house was only listed a few months (in a slow sales time of year), before there was an offer on it! We closed on it in 19 days and the process was smooth and without issues. I would highly recommend Sandy, to anyone, looking to sell their home.
