We found Sandy via a referral from "our" realtor. We wanted to look at houses during a date range that he wasn't available. He recommended Sandy. Mind you, Sandy is not from his firm. He had done some closings with her and admired her work. She came highly recommended. Fast forward a few days, I contacted Sandy asking to see a house I'd found online. She inquired to the seller's agent and it was under contract. Discouraged, we asked to see another house in the same neighborhood. She set up a showing for that house the same day. In the interim, she went back to the seller's agent to inquire about the circumstances of the offer for the house under contract . It turned out that the contract was contingent on the potential buyer selling their house first. She called me back with this information and encouraged us to go look at the house as the deal may fall through. We went to both the house under contract and the other house she'd scheduled our showing for that day. We knew we wanted to make an offer on the contingent house. That's when Sandy went to work, writing up the contract, working with our loan officer to secure the pre-approval letter, and presenting the offer to the seller's agent. The potential buyer under contingent contract had 3 days to remove the contingency from their offer so we had to wait to find out if our offer was accepted. Two days went by before the potential buyer backed out. Our offer was accepted! Sandy worked very hard to move the sale process through, acting as liaison between the lender, inspector, and seller's agent. We closed 4.5 weeks later without any hiccups. We are out-of-state so she worked with my sister to do the final pre-close walkthrough and met with her again after closing to give her the keys to the house. That added more visits to the house for her, which she cheerfully carried out. The icing on the cake was that Sandy had all of the home's locks changed for us on her dime.
