Since 2005 Sam has assisted a wide array of clients all over Austin, and has personally experienced many sides of the real estate transaction as a buyer, seller and investor. Sam joined forces as a founding member of Juice because of the shared core values in helping people and maintaining client relationships that extend beyond the closing table. In 2019 Juice joined Compass Real Estate to add the technology, marketing and advertising prowess of a $1.5 Billion dollar company to the personal touch and top-shelf service of the boutique brokerage.
Sam came to Austin in 1993 to attend the LBJ School of Public Affairs after spending over two years in Guatemala as a Peace Corps Volunteer. Sam holds a BA in Government from Harvard University.
Sam grew up around real estate working alongside his brothers and sister in South Carolina where his father thought the best way to keep the offspring out of trouble was to have them productively engaged. Sam bought his first investment property in Austin in 1995 and has been an active investor since that time. Sam has been a Realtor/Broker since 2005.
Time outside of work is dedicated to helping his sons (one entering college and one just graduating) begin the process of moving toward their next stages in life as productive members of society. Sam is an avid soccer player and as Captain of his Austin Men's Soccer team he manages to chase the ball around every weekend with some equally avid contemporaries. Community involvement has involved working on volunteer projects in his neighborhood of Hyde Park including the newly Shipe Park.
In addition to being a principal of Juice Real Estate, Sam is a co-owner of RAM Austin Property Management and has an 8- history of managing properties for clients. This added professional focus means Sam brings more market-based knowledge regarding the rental market and the dynamics of the investor perspective.
