It has been a very dishonest and unprofessional experience dealing with Russell real estate and in particular with Rusty. We were look into renting a home and checked into a place on Wind Brook CT in Raeford, NC. My wife got in touch with the agency and started the process. We were told on March 15, 2019 that we were the first ones to get our application in. My wife even sent in more requested information that day. Low and behold she followed up on Monday and now they were mistaken and received another application the same date and time to the second ours was sent in. I know they will never or have to prove that, but I realize that is almost impossible I figured a higher ranking officer would get it regardless of if we were and told were first to apply. We were approved but they made a decision to give it to the other guy for reasons of a higher credit score and more income. That don’t make sense to me because the rent is the same regardless. As a retired Army Chief Warrant Officer serving over 20 years, I found this quite unprofessional of a real estate agent. Rusty didn’t even have the professionalism to call and tell us the truth. I understand it’s ultimately the choice of the owner, but this is a constant problem with dealing with real estate agencies. This one has been the worst agency I have ever dealt with. They make all the decisions and claiming the owner made them. We have got a pre-approval to buy a house and I will not look thru Russell Real estate for a home after this incident and how they operate. I will also share my experience among my military friends and coworkers to look elsewhere.

Our expectations were more than satisfied as he continually proved to be knowledgeable, trust worthy, and hard working. His familiarity with the local market expedited the sale of our home. As we searched for our next home he advised us to reject overpriced listings, even though it would have been more advantageous to him to close the deal. Rusty successfully negotiated the purchase price of our new land/home construction build. Rusty's experience and commitment to us continually eased the stress and burdens of home buying and selling.
