Robi Bennett

My experience with Robi Bennett was by far the worst! My wife and I sold a house in 2021 during the height of the market boom. Robi pressured us into accepting the first offer we received, which I did. We could have made much more on that sale, but made a mistake taking her advice. Robi wanted us to take the first offer we received and just be done with us. We were in need of finding another home quickly. We had no home at that point! Robi was very aware of this. However, she went to Europe without telling us she was leaving the country. She didn’t give us a back-up contact or a heads up that she was going to be unreachable for the next few weeks. We pivoted and started searching ourselves (daily) and ended up finding a home we loved. We kindly let her know we were going to be working with another realtor because we found a house ourselves and we hadn’t heard from her for a number of weeks at that point. Instead of bowing out gracefully and admitting she left us hanging out to dry, she claimed she was going to “report” the other realtor because we signed an exclusivity agreement with her for a previous offer that we subsequently rescinded. We certainly had grounds to fire her after she went silent on us, but decided to proceed and just handle all of the details ourselves. Little did we know, we had seen Robi for the last time altogether. Robi wasn’t involved in one single aspect of our purchase, but still took the ENTIRE commission. Here are some of the many things I did (WITHOUT ROBI): 1. Found our new home. 2. Negotiated the purchase price. 3. Ordered the inspection. 4. Negotiated repairs with the seller. 5. Combed through every loan and purchase document to ensure the closing went smoothly. 6. Coordinated with the insurance company, my mortgage broker, the attorney’s office, and the seller throughout the entire process. 7. Attended the closing without Robi. SHE DID ZERO WORK. DO NOT USE ROBBI BENNETT AS A REAL ESTATE AGENT.

When we arrived in the Wilmington area, we were a bit overwhelmed. We knew little to nothing about the region and only knew one couple who had recently moved into Leland. Robi Bennet took us under her wing, made us feel comfortable and spent our first day driving us and our Keeshond, Dutchess from house to house. Her kindness and patience were only exceeded by her knowledge and professionalism. We never felt pressured or uncomfortable. While our first day did not turn up our dream house, our next day with Robi sure did. We had fallen for Waterford, but there was little to see, at first. Then Robi found is the gem we were hoping to find. She worked doggedly to put the deal together, keeping both sides focused and finally bringing a rapid process to a successful conclusion. We have sung Robi’s praises to everyone. She was the star of the show! We have a wonderful new friend. We have our dream house!!
