Rob was always thinking ahead during the completion phase. He provided timely and realistic gauges of the market for our home and concerns specific to its sale in a very unique market.

As a 30 year commercial real estate VP I tend to respect those real estate professionals who have the rare combination of both technical and marketing expertise. Rob Montgomery is in possession of those skills. He demonstrated the ability to listen to our needs as he quickly matched our timing and pricing requirements with a ready and will buyer in short order. Seller and buyer were happy ( a tall order). Many other brokers in the community I know respect his talents. He is an extremely likable person who can relate well to both a husband and wife. His extra effort really made the difference in the sale making a fantastic experience worth bragging about.

This review is a long time coming. I cannot more highly recommend Rob Montgomery if you are looking to buy or sell your home. I have used Rob for selling a home and recently for purchasing a home. We were looking at a very specific area in Newport and Rob went way out of his way to find an unlisted property that exactly suited what we were looking for. Rob was very knowledgeable, attentive and professional and if you are looking for an agent to buy or sell a property, you can feel confident that Rob will do it right for you.

Rob is the most honest and conscientious real estate agent that I have ever worked with. I never questioned that my agent had my best interest in mind at all times. Another advantage to working with Rob is his knowledge of construction as it relates to getting a quick idea of what is possible for a remodel of a target property and what it might cost.

Rob listed and sold my house in a very difficult market. Rob secured a buyer at a favorable price and was able to eliminate a retrade after the property inspection. Most importantly, Rob is a great person, full of integrity.

I had been fishing for a new home for the my family for 6 months. I was helped in this process by an extremely adapt professional named Rob Montgomery. Rob is a developer/broker who has built a number of custom homes in the Newport area. So in addition to knowing how to sell/buy a house, he was able to very quickly tell me what I could or could not do cost effectively to a property. During escrow and post transaction, he has been invaluable with resources for the "fixing up" part. (ie HVAC, demo, painter, plumbers, electricians etc). At one point, during this particular transaction, my financing blew up, and Rob was able to on the same day source an alternative mortgage firm for me and keep the process moving forward. The new group easily got things taken care of (I’ve got great credit and cash flow, it’s just a little crazy in the lending markets at the moment, lol). I think when I do the math Rob ended up working for minimum wage, based on the number of hours he and his team put forth to find me the home that fit my buying and financing criteria. Rob has a low key, high integrity and friendly style. I don't make glowing recommendations often, but if you or someone you know are looking to buy, sell or invest in a home in the Newport area, I would strongly encourage you to contact Rob. Simply put, I was extremely impressed and pleased by Rob's role as my "buying broker". I do not get a referral fee if you work with him. He just did such a good job, that I wanted you to have him available as a resource.
