On the evening of Jan 17 I saw a house I liked on Realtor.com. Out of curiosity I contacted my long time realtor, Rita Legan to ask about it. On Feb 17, I closed on that same house, and I have not yet set a foot in it. After 6 other transactions with Rita at the helm I trust her that much. This was our second time working with Rita. She helped us purchase our forever home in July 2024 and it was a great experience. This time she helped us sell the home that we moved out of. My husband and I were living in Virginia and we submitted a transfer request through work to get back to Ohio to be closer to family. As we were waiting to hear if we got it, we were watching the houses which were For Sale through the real estate apps. We had our eyes on a few houses, but one really stuck out as our favorite. On Friday afternoon, we were told we got the transfer. We immediately called Rita and she scheduled a walkthrough for two hours later so my father-in-law could drive up from Columbus. My father-in-law did the walkthrough with us using FaceTime so we could view the house. We loved it. Immediately after, we decided to submit an offer and Rita drafted the offer so we could sign electronically. It was important to get in quickly because the seller had an Open House scheduled for the next day at noon. A few hours later, we had an accepted offer! She referred us to a company for the home inspection. The inspector was thorough and very informative, which was great because we learned a lot about the house.
