Rick White

Rick helped us purchase a home in the unincorporated area of Santa Cruz county between Scotts Valley and the city of Santa Cruz (listing found through Zillow). He was highly recommended by a couple of co-workers and I was happy with his work with us. Rick is responsive, but very laid back (no high pressure tactics). He is reasonable in his assessment of properties and recommendations, but also is clear that the decision on price is your decision. He does not over promise results (Santa Cruz has spill over from the Valley and there may/may not be multiple bids; market seems to be cooling) and keeps a level demeanor. Rick was able to refer us to several vendors that we used for inspections.

I have worked with Rick since 2004. Not only is he a pleasure to work with, but I found him to be honest and trustworthy. He has sold several properties for me, some with great difficulties, and somehow he made it work. I cannot imagine working with anyone else. He is extremely easy to work with and always keeps me informed. I live in Oregon so we are working long distance. While that could be very difficult, Rick seems to make it easy. I highly recommend choosing Rick as your Realtor.

We've chosen Rick twice now to purchase our first home in Los Gatos and now a second vacation home in Monterey. We had no doubts about choosing him for our second property based on our earlier experience. He is very patient and that was very important to us when considering the second home.. we didn't need a home "this moment" but instead wanted to explore many neighborhoods and options. When we did our home touring he was always very professional in providing a "tour booklet" and pre-viewing the properties himself to know the ins and outs before we took a look. When it comes to negotiating he does the hard stuff, fighting for every $1k which helps us keep some cash for remodels and projects. He also is honest when it comes to properties that have lots of problems and aren't worth our while to pursue. We worked with Rick both for our sale and purchase and he's been great! He is very pleasant to work with, he has great knowledge about everything and is not pushy.
