After unsuccessfully trying to sell my parents home by owner for six months, we decided to give Rick a try. Most realtors I've done business before just want to list your house, put their sign out front wait for a buyer to call and collect a commission. Not Rick, the first day he was at the house touching up paint, fixing baseboard in need of repair, having the sliding glass door rollers replaced and hiring a pest control service to take care of a rodent issue. Day two, he placed his own furnishings in the home to stage it, instead of having an empty home. (all at no cost to my parents). Within the second week, we had an offer just under listing price which we accepted. Today it is very difficult to find somebody that truly cares this much in the real estate business - Rick De Barros is the exception.

Within an hour of posting online there were over 50 saved views. The house was shown the next day and we had a contract within 48 hours of listing. to whom it may concern. it is not very often one walks away from a home sale with a relationship that garners more respect than mine with rick de barros. he is so much more than a quintessential professional. never have i felt more protected and cared for above the basic home selling process. rick took etra time to explain marketing and contractual process to me but went above and beyond by doing extras like finding contractors to do repairs lawn care to plant trees and he even on many occasions oversaw the entire exchange. i have lived in many places and bought and sold many homes and NEVER have i had as much respect and trust in my agent. rick is the best there is and that is a simple fact. he is not only working hard but he works smart. he is very thorough and honest. i think compassion and integrity are the two most important assets rick brings to the table. i could not have made this huge life transition with out his continual advice support and smarts. i am very grateful also to rick for the advice given to me regarding a future purchase and events surrounding our move that did not need to be balls in his court. rick is a kind and caring individual who never loses touch with the individuality of every home sale. he has more patience than anyone i know even when i was losing mine
Rick is by far and away the best agent we have ever dealt with. He was acutely knowledgeable in all facets of our search and transaction and a jewel to work with. Some of his attributes: 1) He said he would be patient and was. 2) Rick put together great searches and screened them for what we were looking for. 3) Rick knew the areas extremely well. 4) He did not pressure us in any way to buy. 5) He offered great advice when weighing our options. 6) His past contractor experience was a HUGE plus in spotting items and offering possible solutions. 7) When we were interested in submitting a contract, his comparables searches were extremely helpful in assisting us with determining a fair price. 8) He never missed or was late to an appointment, and we toured many homes. 9) Rick was pleasant, kind, and thoughtful. 10) He liaised well with the closing agent and was mindful of due dates. 11) He well understood the mechanics of the contract and closing parts of the transaction and he was extremely helpful during the inspection period. Rick constantly went above and beyond. There were many challenges that Rick handled personally because I was living in Ky and could not be there. He dealt with pool guys,roof guys,plumbers,exterminators, tile guys and painters-just to mention a few!! He communicated clearly any feed back from prospective buyers and offered constructive ideas.
