When our last landlord asked us kindly to move so the house could be sold, we discovered that after being in the same home for over four years, our rent was about to increase by about 40%. It was time to take a serious look at buying our first home in Austin. My husband works with Rick as a musician, and we decided to work with Rick to find a home in South Austin. We were on a deadline needed to be in our new place within a couple of months, so Rick made time for us right away. While my husband was out of town visiting family, Rick and I started the search in South Austin. Well, long story short – the first time with Rick it was the one. We submitted an offer that same day. We looked at several other properties and Rick really listen to our needs/wants and also pointed out things that we never would have noticed, good and bad.
