With over 43 years of experience and more than 1,600 closed sales, Richard Courtney is one of the most successful Realtors in the area. A 21 time recipient of the Award of Excellence, Courtney has been awarded the prestigious Realtor of the Year award from both the Greater Nashville Associations of Realtors and the Tennessee Association of Realtors.
Twice, in 2003 and in 2011, Courtney received the President's Award from the Greater Nashville Association of Realtors for his work with Habitat for Humanity and affordable housing.
Recognized as an expert in his industry, Courtney has written weekly real estate columns for 24 years, with the last 11 years coming in the Nashville Ledger. Prior to the Ledger, his columns have appeared in the Tennessean, the City Paper, Nashville inReview, and the Nashville Scene.
He has served on several boards in the community including seven years on the board of Nashville Electric Service where he was elected twice to serve as chairman. Additionally, he served on the boards of the Community Resource Center, Belcourt Theater, Fifty Forward, the Greater Nashville Realtors, Realtracs, the Tennessee Associations of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.
He has hosted " From Me to You", a Beatles radio show on Hippie radio since 2014 and has two 15 year old twins with his wife Beth Seigenthaler Courtney.
