I worked with Renee to purchase my new home in July 2018. Before the purchase, we had been working together for about 15 months on trying to find my dream place, which had many constraints: rural and unzoned (so I could operate my studio as an artist blacksmith at home, which means lots of noise for potential neighbors) but, also with reliable high-speed Internet (which is required for my day job). There were some other constraints but these two ended up being the most difficult to work with as my search went on and on. After several canceled contracts (all due to repair issues discovered via home inspections), I finally found my home. And it almost didn’t happen due to problems getting Internet connectivity established prior to due diligence ending. The evening before due diligence ended, Renee tried directly contacting the CEO’s office of the Internet service company (based in Connecticut) and plead our case. I had been getting the runaround for a few days, so I wasn’t optimistic and even suggested it was a lost cause, not putting much stock in what she was about to do. Renee was undaunted, and her efforts paid off: she found the phone number for the CEO, left a message, and the next morning she heard from a regional VP of infrastructure services for the ISP and he promised to get the line installed and tested before 5pm THAT DAY, which was the deadline for due diligence. And you know what? He got it done for us. And honestly, it’s actually the case that Renee got it done for me. Because she stepped outside the box of our trials and tribulations and what now seemed like endless disappointment, Renee came up with an unconventional approach to solving an insurmountable problem. I was amazed that her simple idea turned into the act which saved the home purchase and allowed me to move forward with confidence about the purchase. She truly went above and beyond what I would normally expect from a real estate agent. I cannot recommend Renee highly enough!
