About Rachel Calkins

Third-Generation Calkins Professional. Rachel Calkins Covey grew up in Peru, New York, and has been exposed to the Real Estate Industry her entire life. Her grandparents, Paul and Florence Calkins, established Paul W. Calkins Realty in 1956. Her mother, Tina Calkins Covey, has continued her father’s career path as the Principal Broker/Co-Owner of the business. For many years, Rachel has admired and witnessed her mother’s passion for listing and selling real estate. Her aunt, Denise Calkins Ryder, is also an active agent in the family business. Previously, Rachel worked in the RE/MAX office in Buffalo while attending the University of Buffalo and most recently, in the Plattsburgh Office, as a Marketing Assistant. She assisted agents by creating personalized marketing enhancements and hosting training sessions on RE/MAX marketing topics and real estate technology. Rachel is confident that her social-media marketing expertise will greatly benefit her clients. Currently, Rachel resides in the City of Plattsburgh. In her free time, she enjoys painting, singing, and hiking. Some of her paintings are currently displayed in a local, downtown, Plattsburgh restaurant. She is an avid fan of basketball and enjoys watching football with friends and family. She loves to travel and sample new foods while visiting new places. Rachel graduated from SUNY Plattsburgh finishing with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies. She states, “my roots are in the North Country and I never want to leave. This is my home and I love the mountains, the lake, and all the people who live here.” Rachel looks forward to working in the family business and is excited to assist clients with all their real estate needs.
