After my parents passed, we were in the situation of selling their out-of-town Rossmoor home filled with generations of furniture, historic papers, and numerous household and personal items. The house was in a trust, which meant as Trustee, I needed to ensure the sale was completed cleanly without ambiguities or uncertainties.
Unfamiliar with the reputation of local real estate agents, a friend mentioned a client of his had hired Philip DeMatteo and had a good experience. So, we interviewed Philip and were both impressed right away. We decided to partner up and signed the listing agreement.
Philip has a full-service team to get whatever needs done. Team members we utilized included painters, cleaners, movers, carpet cleaners, and electricians. In addition, his team staged our house and Philip creatively helped us through the extensive process of selling and removing all the furniture. He helped hire an estate sales team and also hosted three garage sales for us. Ultimately, he took care of the removal of the furniture and items we couldn't sell or remove ourselves.
Philip's thinking is strategic and flexible to ensure there are back-up plans – just in case a complication were to arise. His friendly and professional manner reassured us every step of the way as we knew we were in good hands. He communicates well via all the usual communication modes: text, FaceTime, email, and phone (and of course in person).
We received our final offer within 15 days of putting the house on the market and closed feeling good about the whole experience. We thank Philip for his dedication to do the very best job and highly recommend him without hesitation to anyone in the market to sell their house. He is an excellent salesperson - and combined with his good will, up front nature, and honesty- we were happy to have him represent the sale of the house.
