Perrin Wood was raised along the Grand Strand from the early age of 2 years old. He graduated from Socastee High School and attended the College of Charleston. His father served in the U.S. Army and grandfather serving in the U.S. Navy. Perrin chose to follow in their footsteps and serve his country as well. He has spent 17 ½ years as a Navy and Air Force veteran serving his community, state and country stateside and overseas. He has spent the last 7 years as a USCG licensed Captain/fishing guide as the owner/operator of Southern Saltwater Charters based here in Murrell’s Inlet, SC as well as a teaching tennis pro at several clubs along the Grand Strand. Having lived here for 50+ years, Perrin has seen the changes and other things remain the same such as our beautiful beaches, inlets and plantations along our rivers. Not only is this home to him and his family, he believes it’s the people that makes this area so special. His family has been heavily involved in real estate for 50+ years here on the Grand Strand mostly from Surfside Beach to Pawley’s Island. After all, his grandfather Billy Nichols started Dunes Realty in 1969 which is still going strong today. After studying Business Mgmt/Marketing/Accounting and HRTM at the University of South Carolina, his time at USC proved to be a benefit after taking a local business and being recognized as one of the best in the world. It has helped him significantly prepare him for his dream as a real estate agent and living on the coast in this little piece of heaven called Murrell’s Inlet. His integrity, high levels of customer service and reliability are just a few key attributes that clearly stand out. Perrin is known for his outgoing personality, love for life, and unwavering support and compassion for others. Perrin also understands how important it is to finding the right house that you can call home that suits your wants and needs that checks all the boxes being a local homeowner himself.
