In early 2022, the housing market was about as cut throat as it gets. If you know, you know. I was a first time buyer and didn't know what to expect. Mykel was recommended by a coworker of mine. I couldn't have asked for a better person to help my buy my home. Working with Mykel made all the difference. We had a plan: what I was looking to buy, what I was looking to spend, and when I could spend it. He made sure we stuck to the plan and didn't cave when the market intensified. Mykel did not waste my time; to me, that is HUGE! He would scope out properties himself to make sure there weren't any major unpleasantries, let me know if it was worth the time to come look or if we should continue the search elsewhere. He wasn't going to let me buy something problematic. He didn't let me panic or give in to the scarcity mindset. Houses were under contract within hours of being listed and I was not in a position to compete with all cash offers. I was happy to pay what was fair, maybe a little extra...to me, putting in a bid $30k+ over asking price was out of the question. Then I got impatient... I knew I could trust Mykel because when I was tempted to overpay just to get something and be done, Mykel was the voice of reason. He made sure that I was making a good investment, something I said was important to me early in the process. He didn't lose patience or get discouraged. "We'll get something, and it'll be great. Don't buy this house just to be done looking." I appreciated that, especially since until we closed, he wasn't getting paid... He looks out for his clients, he works hard, he's trustworthy and supportive. AND HE KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING. He communicated well, kept me from going bonkers, and made it fun. I am beyond thankful to Mykel and his wonderful wife for working so hard to help me find my home. I would recommend them to ANYONE.
