Misael is a U.S. Citizen, born and raised in Venezuela, where he held top executive banking positions in the areas of mortgage lending, private banking and corporate financing. For the last 20 years he has built a successful career in the real estate industry as an investor, builder, developer and, lately, as a Georgia Realtor®, acting as partner in The Providence Group at Keller Williams Atlanta Perimeter, enjoying helping families, businesses and investors to achieve their real estate dreams and goals.
His participation as a guest of the U.S. International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), and his continuous interaction with the International Exchange Alumni communities throughout the world, has given him a global perspective, important international relations and a passion for fostering business opportunities between the United States, Latin America and the Caribbean. In early 2010 he founded ProAmericas, Inc., a Georgia 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Atlanta, dedicated to international exchange programs and, in 2012, he was a co-founder of IANAmericas (Inter-American Network of Alumni Associations), based in Nova Scotia, Canada, currently serving as Vice-President of the Board of Directors. He is a former Chairman of the Venezuelan-American bi-national center for the state of Zulia and currently a member of the Board of Advisors of the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce - Hispanic Business Center and member of the Global Ties U.S. Council for International Members.
Misael has a bachelor’s degree in economics from La Universidad del Zulia in Maracaibo, Venezuela, and an MBA from Babson College, in Wellesley, Massachusetts; he is fluent in English and Spanish and lives in Atlanta, Georgia, with his wife Isabel.
