Mike was not only diligent with finding homes for us to look at but gave advice on what made it a good or bad buy. His mindset was that it was a team effort to buy the home and went so far as telling the seller that we would not be willing to pay out of pocket as if it was his pocket and not ours. Many times his advice saved us money and lowered his commission. He was more interested in us getting the right home than his commission being more. He put us first and himself second. Mike really knows this area and has been a Broker/Realtor for years. As I understand it, a broker is a higher level that a realtor, requiring more education and it really showed. He knew all the good areas I was looking for and knew all the moves the selling realtor was making, even before they did. Knowing his job so well, he was able to even save me money in the transaction. I can't tell you how much it helped to have a real estate broker work directly with me. I don't plan on buying another place soon, but if I do, I will certainly use Mike. Advice to others who may be looking to buy or sell a home... Find a broker/realtor who is willing to work directly with you and who has been working in the local market for at least 10 years. You don't pay any more for it. You still pay standard commission, but get the most knowledgeable person.
