Mike is the consummate professional. Communicates in easy to understand language and frequently so you're never left wondering where the deal stands. He follows up with other agents and organizations involved in the deal to keep things moving. He offers guidance and advises as though it were his property. Ours was an estate sale, and the house needed a ton of repairs. Mike said just do this one repair and save your money on the rest - his advice was spot on and saved us well over $30,000. Mike recommended that we price the house below market value, we were like are you sure? Ultimately Mike gave us the perfect strategy; we had numerous showings and multiple offers that got us a bidding war. Mike walked us through the offers and helped us select the right bid. We got $70K over the asking price, 25% more than the listed price! We were very concerned that the buyer was going to ask us for significant dollars to repair the house. Mike said to maintain the position that the house is being sold as is - Mike won that game of chicken for us and we didn't spend a dime on any repairs! Every step of the way Mike was in contact with us and provided his recommendations. Fortunately, we were smart enough to go with his ideas, and it significantly reduced our expenses and maximized our sales price! There are tons of agents out there, if you are looking for agent that is just going to plant a sign in the yard and disappear, then Mike is not your guy. If you want a trusted advisor that maximizes your gains and keeps a steady hand on the process, then you can't do any better than Mike!
Mike was great at explaining the process of buying a home in North Carolina which is very different than buying a home in Illinois where I came from. He was instrumental in creating a strong bid which was a success. I highly recommend Mike.
