First, let me say that I am very happy with Mike Stone. He is kind, prompt and professional. My loan offer included a VA loan and real estate agents commonly feel that VA makes their job too hard. Mike Stone never wavered and Mike never made me feel like I was on my own. Traditionally, I would try to avoid real estate agents because I feel that they are just phoning in what anyone could do themselves but Mike Stone worked for it. Mike made sure that I did not make any mistakes when negotiating and he was acutely aware of the differences between a VA loan and conventional lenders. My wife and I are both writing this to express to anyone reading, that Mike is the greatest! He found us exactly what we were looking for; a turn-key house, off market and under market rate. It wasn't a miracle, it was due to Mike's unrelenting efforts. Mike always had good places for us to look at and accurately predicted the ones that would cause a commotion and go for more than the asking price. Mike met us whenever we saw something we thought we wanted, even though it was not always the best use of time. He never hesitated to accommodate us, even through the rainy season, around holidays, or at other inconvenient times. He never talked about the houses he sold, or the ones he found for people, or the clients he presently had. We always felt we were his only clients. Mike has more knowledge and experience than he immediately lets on. He gave us many insights and pearls regarding local codes and the ins and outs of septic, wells, termites and other stuff we weren't knowledgeable about. When it came time to make an offer, he graciously included negotiating points that gave the offer to the seller a respectful tone, making things go smoothly.
