My exceptional experience with Mike Shaw at Vanguard Properties

Mike Shaw was referred to us by a friend who thought he would be the best qualified to assist with a home sale. Our rental property became vacant and was left in terrible shape. We didn't know where to begin to find companies to help with remodeling the whole house and prepare it for sale. Mike put bids together to remodel the kitchen, bath, new floors, electrical, painting and yard space. He reviewed the pricing, had the various contractors present their bids, and monitored the whole process. He went to the cabinet shop and picked the style and color . He often visited the house and reported to us on the progress of the repairs. He ordered the lighting for each room and also appliances. We, in turn, were prompt in paying for each completed step. When there were some marks on the floor, Mike made sure the contractor re-sanded to make them perfect. The yard was challenging because of the heavy rains. When the grass placement was not perfect he had the nursery person correct the issues. The house was staged and Mike reviewed the furniture set up and also was at the house for the removal of the furniture after the sale. He also made a terrific video to show the house at its best. Mike reviewed all documents with us to sell the house. He made this hard process easy and comfortable. His knowledge of the process was impeccable. He made many recommendations that helped us sell the house quickly and over the asking price. We are so pleased with the process and would defiantly use him again.
