In December my wife and I started to search for a home in the East Bay (Livermore) and figured we'd go in without an agent and see if that would help provide purchasing leverage. It only took one open house to find ourselves overwhelmed; without an experienced agent we realized we going to get into a lot of trouble.
I contacted Mike because he helped other friends of mine purchase and sell their homes. Immediately Mike was engaged and helped us find answers to all the questions we had. As first time home buyers, it was really nice to sort out the details with Mike then take the time to go look for properties. Mike had no problem meeting us in the East Bay (he braved the 680 drive from the South Bay multiple times without hesitation) to tour various properties as they came on the market. Houses were selling way over asking, without contingencies, and only within a few days. We put an offer on three properties total, all three times Mike met with us immediately to discuss all of property details, comps, and did an excellent job of helping us put in very competitive offers. He helped us figure out ways to get a leg up with our offers; all three we submitted were contenders. The third offer was accepted. During escrow and closing Mike was always available and was on top of every detail. No surprises, just a smooth closing. At the very end he met us at the property with keys and bottle of champagne. What more could I ask for?
If you need an agent who will help you navigate this crazy market, put in reasonable offers that will actually get you into a home, and who strives to be available and truly works hard on your behalf, then Mike is an excellent choice. We look forward to working with Mike for all of our future real estate needs.
