So long story, medium. My wife, Sahra, and I had been passively looking at the real estate market over the last couple years and were always feeling like it would never happen for us. Same old story, SoCal prices, medium incomes. But Sahra decided to let our friend Metila know we were looking to see what she could do to help us. Right away Metila was the positive spark we needed to one, give us confidence that we could do it, and second, guide us to the right home for our price range and needs. No matter how she felt about the properties we saw she always put our needs first. We heard stories about being pressured and talked down to by real estate agents and that couldn't be further from the experience we had. We looked for over 5 months and at no time did we feel like we needed to buy anything until the right house came along. And that "right" house was not a house that was easy to get either. We got bid out on our first attempt, but Metila insisted we be put down as the second to the first bid (which at the time was a formality, but ended up being our saving grace). The first bid was $40k above our offer and we were not able to go higher. But two months later and several houses and showings later, we got a call from that seller who's buyer had backed out due to timing issues. Since we were the second they HAD to come back to us, and at our original asking price. It was the best situation we could have asked for. All through negotiations and inspections Metila held our hands and guided us through the process. And every time we felt overwhelmed she was able to bring us down to earth and push the deal forward. And now, almost 4 months later, we are emptying our last boxes and feeling so much at home at our new home. We have so much love and thanks for her and the experience. We can't wait to do it again, in 5-15 years... we'll see :P Nick & Sahra Pezzillo
