My journey with Merrill began way back at the end of March with my first house hunting trip to the Grand Strand area. While she may have had doubts about whether a single guy would follow through on a purchase, she never let that show through, nor did she tire in her efforts to find me a suitable home. The second and final house hunting trip came during the second half of July and it wasn't until the last house on the last of two days of viewings that I found what was to become my new home. From there, Merrill took charge of the negotiations which were difficult for a variety of reasons beyond price. There was an issue of delayed settlement required by the seller and my contingency of being able to sell my former home. To say that the sellers were difficult is a major understatement and it is a testament to Merrill that she was able to navigate the troubled waters between buyer and seller and keep the contract viable. I could never have concluded the negotiations on my own. Once the contract was signed, a host of issues popped up regarding the sale of my former home and the sellers became anxious about the contract ever being fulfilled. An endless series of text messages, emails and phone calls was initiated among buyer, seller and their respective agents to keep the contract alive. In this endeavor, Merrill excelled with the patience of Job, working tirelessly to satisfy the respective parties. The attention to detail and tireless efforts did not end after closing(which came nearly four months after first offer). Merrill was diligent in her follow through, making sure all was in order with the new home and addressing any unforeseen problems. It was a pleasure working with Merrill and would highly recommend her to any one considering the purchase or sale of real estate
