Melissa was great to work with! Very professional, timely, and always had our best interests in mind. This was our first home buying experience and we could not have asked for a better agent. We heard all the horror stories from our family and friends who were also in the market... very aggressive, cash offers, don't fall in love with a place, etc. All that being said, we found a perfect home day 1 and had our offer accepted immediately. We appreciate Melissa very much, she worked patiently with us up to the time we were ready to sell. Everything was explained and understood very clearly with her knowledge and professionalism, she made the transition very easy and was there when we had various questions.
Melissa goes above and beyond what I thought a realtor would do. She helped me land our dream house literally split seconds ahead of other people, and she gave me advice and used connections to get our offer accepted even though it was lower than other offers! The sellers literally turned down more money to stick with us. Figure that out?!? She is very strategic and knows this business. She offered one particular bit of advice that seemed cheesy but later turned out to be definitive! She is responsive by phone or text, even at very very late hours (even if she didn’t want to be!). She scrambled to make sure we had everything in place in this insanely competitive market. She knew people to help me move quickly with inspections, appraisal, even lawn mowing. To say nothing of the fact she is sort of like Sherlock Holmes on visits. “See this scuff here? They recently did this renovation. … That wall there is slightly uneven, there may have been water damage. … There’s rust on these screws, this water heater is older than they’re saying.” Fashion is not my forte so it helped that she would point out what things were outdated as well. Or noticing things that someone did to do a quick cover up on a property, eg painting over a problem. You can’t go wrong with Melissa. It’s like having a best friend who’s also your realtor. Melissa helped us navigate a move from Michigan to Florida and made a very difficult and emotional experience tolerable due to her reassurances of success. She was right and she found us a buyer on the higher end of the local market which was tough tdue o the smaller pool of prospects. Melissa is truly a realtor extraordinaire. Wow. I’ve been working with her for almost a year. She is tireless, thorough, patient, hilarious, knowledgeable, savvy, quick-thinking, accessible, bold... I can’t even properly summarize how perfectly she helped me. For one thing, she’s like Sherlock Holmes. She notices the smallest things and clues while doing walkthroughs, like noticing subtle signs of water damage or quick (or cheap) cover-ups. She is also brave enough to be bluntly honest with you if you’re viewing a property with rose-colored glasses. She talked me out of a house when I was blinded by the appeal of one great feature while ignoring major problems. She also moved literally within minutes to make me the first visitor to (and ultimate purchaser of) an amazing property, and with her savviness and quickness I was able to beat out higher bids! I won’t share the advice that she gave me to clinch the deal because that deserves to retain her trademark advantage. :) She always went above and beyond, researching properties I only expressed mild interest in. She is tech-savvy and knows her neighborhoods. She even helped me close on this property while on vacation! Needless to say, I can’t praise her enough.
