Melissa is a true professional and goes above and beyond in every way. She helped us every step of the way and took a lot of the pressures off of us during the entire process. If you're looking for a realtor in the Mt. Dora area, I wouldn't use anyone else.
After having our family home on the market for several years Melissa took over the listing and had a contract for us on the 3rd day. She was very knowledgeable and professional in all aspects from start to finish. We had an extra challenge in that we were out of state and Melissa handled that with ease as well. I was very pleased with her as an agent and would highly recommend her.
Working with Melissa was like having a personal friend show you around their home town and make sure you had everything you needed to be comfortable in the new town and home. Even though my daughter lives here and I lived in the area from 1997-2007, I've been in Ohio from 2007 to this year 2020. We wanted to be close to our grandchildren and when we finally had the opportunity to become "snowbirds", we jumped on it. I can't exactly remember how I found Melissa's name and number - possibly on Realtor.com or Trulia.com but it was a very lucky day for us. She took time to accommodate us by meeting with our daughter to do "Marco Polo" video walkthroughs while both my daughter and son-in-law checked out the houses for us (we were still in Ohio). She was patient with me when I changed my mind and just took it in stride. Once we signed the contract, she took care of all the essentials (reaching out to the appropriate parties to get repairs done, "lighting a fire" (my words, not hers) under any party that needed it, organizing everything so that both the title company and my mortgage broker had everything they needed and just reminding me to transfer the utilities on the day of the closing. I've worked with a few realtors in my time, and Melissa was so much better than I expected! We'll be in touch with her again and referring her to all our future "snowbird" friends!

My husband and I were being relocated for his job. We knew we needed to get the house ready for sale, however we had some questions on how to list our house. We lived in a rural section of Tavares, yet a desirable location due to being directly on a canal. This canal linked to the Harris chain of Lakes. Being rural meant we were grandfathered in to not only have chickens, but we could have a rooster as well as other livestock should we desire them. We called Melissa when we knew we would be selling, but months prior to actually listing. Melissa came to the property in a very timely manner. We discussed what we thought we should do and asked for her opinions. We received great advice and started moving forward. The projects came to a point where I personally could not manage some on my own. I called Melissa and she was able to give me a handyman that worked with her real estate company. I called him, he came over 2 days later and was so nice, and had the skill to accomplish every project I shared with him. I could not have been more pleased. Melissa had been over to review some projects as they were getting accomplished. She was as excited as I was. Once we were complete, Melissa took time out of her schedule to let in the finishing house cleaner and the carpet cleaners. She also set up the person that would mow the property until sold. Melissa went above and beyond what any Realtor would. I have had experience with Realtors in the past this was my 5th house experience. Melissa listed the house, had an Open House the first weekend of the listing and called me with an offer on the 7th day the house was up for sale. We closed a week early as well. None of these things would have taken place if Melissa was not on the top of her game. Melissa is the best Realtor experience in Florida.
