She has been very successful selling homes in my neighborhood, so I put my trust in her and it paid off. She looked at my home and made recommendations about updates that would improve my chances of getting the best offer, and even recommended someone who could make those updates at a reasonable cost. Since I was selling to move out of state, this saved me valuable time and money. She answered all of my questions and came over whenever I asked to assess if anything else was needed. Once all was ready, she had photos taken of the home and posted them quickly, with a price that was acceptable to me and comparable for the neighborhood. We received a generous offer the very next day, and she continued to guide me with recommendations throughout the inspection, appraisal and closing processes. She even connected me with a real estate agent in my new home state of Arizona, and he has been very helpful in my home search, saying that he thinks highly of Melissa and wants to make sure I find the perfect home for me. Where do we begin? We decided to start looking for a house around October 2020. Being from NJ and living through a pandemic, the idea of house out of state was anxiety inducing. Melissa was amazing! It took me 4 months to find a home in my dream neighborhood. First off, I would say that this was a difficult sale. It’s my 1st time selling a house, I'm living across the country, there was a tenant's RV in the driveway, the house does not have central air, was built in the 1920s, and did I mention I bought it in 2008 so there was very little equity. Going through the selling process was tumultuous and not much good news, it was bearable because I always knew Melissa was upfront with me and willing to talk through all of my options as we went along. She managed to sell this house in July, saving me from the mortgage payments I was resigned to pay until Fall's cooler temps. Melissa is a realtor I would recommend, especially for someone who doesn’t have much experience buying or selling homes. If your home needs repairs ahead of showing, her contacts with solid repair folks will be invaluable.
