Wonderful realtor through a challenging close

This is our second time selling and buying a home with Melanie. She has a true gift for showing you the range of homes at your price point and leading you to the perfect fit. My fiancée likes new builds but wants a neighborhood with mature trees, which I told him was maybe an unrealistic expectation. Melanie found us a new build that backs up to a mature neighborhood and has a beautiful 30 year old tree in our backyard. She made sure to stay in touch with the sales team after we viewed it, so she knew that they were starting to get interest from other buyers - we were able to get our earnest money in a day before they got a flood of interested buyers. She was also amazing at handling the sale of our old home. Our buyer’s realtor and mortgage processors were terrible at meeting deadlines, difficult to get ahold of, and actively misled us on multiple occasions about realistic timelines for when they could get things done. This led to multiple closing delays. Melanie worked TIRELESSLY on our behalf, through an incredibly frustrating situation. She was relentless in pushing for updates and timelines - she did everything she could to make sure the buyer’s team was completing their side of the transaction. We had a contingent offer on our new home and Melanie was in clear, prompt, and frequent communication with our lender and the builder’s sales team. This ensured that they knew that the closing delays and last-minute communications were due to lack of transparency on our buyers end. Because Melanie was so diligent, our lender waived what would have otherwise been a significant late fee for closing delays. Melanie is kind, professional, patient, and was the perfect person to guide us through an unusually stressful and frustrating transaction. We are so happy in a beautiful new home, thanks to her.
