I don't even know where to begin, singing Matt's praises. If you are a first-time buyer or new to the market, Matt is the man for you!
We had some really sensitive concerns with where we would buy, based off our safety/neighborhood feel, etc. and Matt was honest and clear with us about which neighborhoods were better fits and which weren't. This honesty helped us hang in there until just the right place opened up -- we feel great in our neighborhood.
We also were first-time buyers with limited flexibility on price. Matt never treated us like lesser clients, and he made sure our house had every single thing on our wish list.
As first-time buyers, we also REALLY appreciated Matt's expertise on house features, state of repair, general estimates for repair costs, etc. While Matt always suggested deferring to a professional for estimates, he was extremely helpful, honest and clear about the realities of each house we viewed.
Matt NEVER stopped working for us -- he was accessible pretty much 24/7 and we never felt like we were bringing information to him. He always "did his homework," and when he said he would get us additional info, get us a showing, or make a call... he always did. Right away.
Lastly, it was Matt's negotiation skills and stellar reputation within the real estate community (including his rapport with other buyers and selling agents) that helped us secure our home in a desirable, competitive neighborhood. If you are trying to get into the State College area market, you can prepare for a lot of heartbreak and fast-paced moves -- without an agent who can make moves and act with confidence like Matt does, I would imagine an already difficult market is that much harder. Matt used his expertise, his skills and his relationships to make sure we had an awesome experience.
We can't recommend him enough: he is kind, thoughtful, professional, super smart, helpful, efficient, and knows his market.
THANK YOU, MATT!
