Matt was always meant to be a teacher and a coach.
He just didn’t know it at first.
As a young entrepreneur housepainter, Matt got thrown off his second job for painting the windows shut. It was not a good day. But Matt’s passion for learning from experience and sharing knowledge was taking root, anchored by memories of high school wrestling and the great coaches whose teachings went deeper than the single leg takedown or fireman’s carry.
Matt traveled the country, then returned to the Philadelphia area to merge his passions for teaching, coaching, and entrepreneurship in the field of real estate, partnering with Eric Rehling- a friend since second grade - to found RE/MAX Ready and help buyers, sellers, investors, and colleagues succeed in achieving their desired outcomes.
And Matt started a family. His wife Joy and kids constitute his greatest pride and passion, bar none. The untimely loss of his son Julian propelled Matt and his family on a profound journey into grief, and back again. A lifelong commitment was forged in Matt to help others experiencing similar situations - to coach (that word again) the grieving with his hard-earned knowledge and the power of caring.
Matt teaches various real estate courses as well. He's been a Realtor since 2000, in high demand for public speaking. Unlike others, Matt serves others' interests, coaching RE/MAX Ready's people to achieve their best. He supports organizations like Spreading Hope & Smiles and SUDC Foundation.
Matt wants to be remembered for making a difference: "Years from now, I hope friends and family will say I made a difference. Big or small, I don't care. Just say I made a difference!"
