In the summer of 2024 I reached out to Mary McGowan with what I considered to be an overwhelming project: the sale of my parent's Chico house, a house in need of updating and repair. Mary McGowan is so highly thought of in Chico, that my lifelong friends recommended her when they knew I was looking for an agent. I am old. I have bought and sold homes through various agents in the past. I was aware of what a "good" agent would do and also how 'sub-standard' translates. I did not know "great" until I signed with Mary McGowan. She guided me through the necessary steps to get my house ready for showing and also how it should be listed. The photographer came when the home was ready and he was also outstanding and chosen by her. She handled the 'clean up' when I moved things to my new home in Nevada and supervised the finishing touches when I was unable to do so. I was a 'first time' buyer/seller and so scared. Mary helped me every step of the way. I asked so many questions, and needed to hear the answers over and over. It was a lot. She was super resourceful finding answers to all the trillions of questions that are asked, of which I didn't know the answer to.... She was patient and through! And I am so thankful!
