When it came time to sell our house, who was the first agent to come to mind? Mary Braatz, of course, and she lived up to her billing! She looked out for our best interests and kept us updated on all the details. When we needed licensed contractors for plumbing and electrical issues, she immediately provided us with referrals. She "went to bat" for us when we needed it and the closing was especially easy. It was a pleasure working with Mary.

This could have been a very challenging sale as we live in Georgia, and this property was in Downers Grove. Through Mary’s professional process, distance and separation were never issues in the sale of the home. Mary was honest, straightforward, and insightful from the very first meeting through closing. We developed a friendship immediately. Within a week of our first meeting and signing of the contract, high-grade photos of the home she had taken were posted on the internet, and the house was on the market. We started our sales journey pre-COVID, talking through goals and developing a sales strategy we were happy with. COVID hit, changes were needed in the strategy, her wise counsel was critical to our new strategy, and we moved forward. She shared information with us through every step of the process, and worked hard to get showings for the house. Her strong negotiation skills helped get the house sold as we passed on the initial offer from the future buyer, but Mary left the “door open” for future discussions with them by the way she negotiate, and sure enough, they later came back and were the buyers of the home. I am not sure if this outcome would have happened had a different realtor been doing the negotiating. Last, Mary’s style was collaborative and the process felt like a team effort. Again, she achieved all of this with us being 700 miles apart. True, there may are other excellent realtors out there, but we can honestly say we don’t feel any could be better than Mary!

If I could give Mary 6 stars I would. Mary is the best realtor I have ever worked with and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking to buy or sell. From day 1 she was extremely professional, she booked photos for the place we were trying to sell and helped us with what to "hide" so the photos looked great online. The photographer she used was friendly and clearly an expert. After that she posted it to all the real estate sites and we immediately got visitors. Some of her other benefits while selling were amazing. We got to see web traffic and other cool features on our posts. We had 3 contracts fall through because of the global pandemic and Mary never stopped. She made sure we were protected and our house would sell, and it did. She constantly kept in contact even when we would send texts at midnight (we were not expecting a response until morning!) she would always get back to us right away. On top of all this, Mary knew exactly what she was doing at every step of the way and gave us amazing recommendations and guidance with any question we had. Mary went above and beyond and this review doesn't even start to scratch the surface of everything she did for us. If you are just starting on your home buying/selling journey, call Mary, you will be nothing short of amazed.
