Martin, a License Partner in Engel & Völkers Taos, has lived, worked, and traveled all over the world, but northern New Mexico holds a special place in his heart. He was first introduced to Taos and Taos Ski Valley twenty-five years ago when his wife’s family invited him to join them on their annual ski trip to the Land of Enchantment. Twelve years ago, he started investing in Taos real estate. Now, as a resident of Arroyo Seco, he has a gained a comprehensive knowledge of the lifestyle opportunities this unique area has to offer.
Martin has lived in Southeast Asia, the United Kingdom, and Finnish Lapland and has traveled with his family to all seven continents. Through Martin’s extensive travel he has established a network of connections worldwide, and his prior work experience across various sectors has contributed to his general expertise. He brings a wealth of international experience and a cosmopolitan perspective to clients’ needs. And with homes in Liguria, Italy and New Mexico, Martin has a deep understanding of the dynamics of second-home ownership. Martin is licensed in New Mexico and is a member of the National Association of Realtors.
A graduate of Loyola University of Maryland with a degree in finance, Martin worked in sales for four years at Eastman Kodak and then moved to Thailand to work in the seafood sector. In the late 1990s, after completing his MBA, he moved to Singapore to work with an Indonesian consumer goods company which was expanding throughout Southeast Asia. In 2000, Martin moved to England as the COO of a telecommunications company. During Martin's time with the firm, it acquired eight other businesses over six years, went public in London in 2004, and was later sold in 2006.
When he’s not maximizing his core potential to fulfill clients’ every need, he enjoys CrossFitting at CrossFit Freeworld in Taos and spending time with his wife and son skiing or finding new and unique hikes in and around the Sangre de Cristos and beyond. Martin is also on the board of the Taos Youth Soccer League as the club's treasurer.
