Mark has been great to work with! We moved to Sonoma County from Washington state, and connected with Mark before moving to begin our search for a new home. The only reason I give Mark 4 instead of 5 stars is that there were a few instances when I felt his responsiveness to communications could have been improved. I had a bit of anxiety about the whole home purchase thing, and there were a couple of times when my questions via text or email did not get answered right away. There were no critical communication misses, rather I think that Mark didn't pick up on my level of unease at the time. Overall I was very pleased to work with Mark, and in the end he did a great job of preparing us to make a good decision and a winning offer, and he stuck with us through the sale process. Now that we are preparing to move in to our new home, Mark continues to stay engaged, and has helped us connect with local contractors to make some final tweaks to our new home. I would definitely recommend Mark to other buyers!

He was very professional with the suggested price. Prices had dropped in just the last few months but this was a rental and a good time for me to sell while it was vacant. I had the feeling that he was already pretty busy but would not neglect this sale. I was right! He instantly got picture on the internet after telling my Handyman what he needed done before pictures were to be taken in just a few days--then an Open House. We got it all accomplished and got offers being written even before and then during the Open House. I would say it was very smooth sailing and a very quick closing. We just completed a transaction with Mark Spaulding and Compass Realty. Mark was our agent to sell our property. We took advantage of the Concierge Service that Compass provides which in my opinion requires someone with really good project management skills as well as someone who knows the local real estate market and trends. Mark was just outstanding. As part of the service, he arranged for painting, carpeting, multiple cleanings, trash removal, staging as well as numerous other services. It took a huge burden off us as sellers including significantly reducing the number of trips we had to make to the property. In a volatile real estate market, he helped us price the property correctly and we were able to sell for over asking with a very quick close. One of the most important things was his constant and detailed communications regarding project tasks and timing. Early on he developed a project plan with tasks, sequence, timing and responsibility. He provided regular updates and we always knew where we were in the process. We never wondered what had to happen next. To his credit, he was extremely patient with us a gently nudged us when we were late with the tasks assigned to us. I highly recommend Mark for any real estate transaction you are considering. I have bought and sold several houses over the years and never worked with anyone with the project focus he demonstrated. I cannot imagine our transaction could have been managed any better.
