I was born in Greene County at the dawn of Lake Oconee. My family were among the first members of what is now Reynolds Lake Oconee, and I spent childhood evenings swimming in the Preserve pool and playing in the road everyone here calls Linger Longer. My house today looks out at the water where I swam as a little girl. I have a forty-five year history with this lake, and you will not find another agent specializing in this lake with as much homegrown time here.
The single most important decision at Lake Oconee is not which house. It is which neighborhood. Community, lake access, county, schools, dues, and price all change from one community to the next. So I drove every subdivision and community on this lake myself and wrote a guide to all of them, across all three counties - Greene, Putnam and Morgan, gated and non-gated. My local listing records: $3,738,000 for a waterfront home on the Richland side of Lake Oconee, and $1,400,000 for a six tenths of an acre lakefront building lot in Beaverdam. Both outside the gated communities. I have sold raw land inside Reynolds for $2,450,000 and lots for under $15,000, and I handled both sides of a transaction for more than 100 acres of development land next to Harbor Club. My license has been with Coldwell Banker here on the lake for 16 years so I have seen Lake Oconee's rise from recession to a the coveted destination it is today.
My husband, Drew, and I live with our three children on the lake in a house my cousin originally built in 1978. We keep a lot and a membership inside Reynolds. During the week you will find me in the office, at Publix, or in the Lake Oconee Academy carline. On weekends we are on the boat or the soccer field.
