My fiance and I met MaiKai at an open house. We had been talking about wanting to start looking to buy a house and we decided to just check out a few open houses to see what was on the market. He was very personable and knowledgeable about the area we wanted to buy in and said he loved working with first time home buyers. He asked if we could set up a meeting to discuss working with him and we made an appointment that week. He came to our house and did a buyer consultation and coaching session to find out our three main benefits of what we wanted in our first home and helped us understand the timeline of buying a home. He even explained and helped us understand the contract and the whole system that he works with. He feels strongly about negotiating in person to add the human touch back into the home buying process. When we found the home we knew we wanted to make an offer on, COVID-19 had hit and we were in the middle of quarantine, so making an in person offer was off the table. He advised us to make a quick 2 minute video to send to the seller about who we are and why we loved the house. At the end of the day that video got us the home! The listing agent told us that they had another offer that was $7k higher than ours but they chose us because they could tell how much we loved the home and wanted it to go to us. Throughout the whole home search MaiKai was very responsive and set up several showings for us. We feel like he truly did work hard for us and was a great advisor for us being first time home buyers. MaiKai will be our agent for life!
