Lucy Martin Jenkins

I’ve known Lucy for many years; she has shown me multiple homes and properties and she has been my agent for two home purchases now. She is excellent to work with. She is always available at the drop of a hat to see a property which is crucial in this competitive home-buying environment, and she arrives well prepared with intimate knowledge of the house, comps, and relevant info from sellers. In the buying process she is very professional and respectful to me and the sellers. She is honest and honorable; she once warned me in the final hour about a worrying detail of a rental property I was on the cusp of buying; I walked away from that purchase and Lucy also lost out on the sale, but it was in my best interest and I very much respect her for that. She listens well and she respects my wishes and my decisions; she isn’t pushy and I’ve never felt pressured by her to be more or less aggressive during negotiations. I feel confident and comfortable using Lucy as my realtor. She’s excellent!

Lucy spent over 5 years helping us to find our dream home. A home that fit both of our needs, expectations, and desires. She could have easily given up on us, walked away, deciding we weren't serious home buyers. She was as motivated and enthusiastic with the first house she showed as she was on the final house that ended our search. There must have been 20+ houses in between....She is hard working, dedicated, and truly cares about what you want and need. She goes above and beyond in her role as a realtor. (We've seen her shimmy under narrow crawl spaces, entertain toddlers so parents can focus, paint, clean...anything to help!) Nothing is beyond what she is willing to do in order to help you achieve your goal. She is consistent whether you are buying or selling. She did an amazing job for us on both sides. We couldn't be happier with the results. She is responsive, honest, and professional. Her knowledge, experience, and expertise made our entire process problem free. She is the best!

What impressed me most about Lucy is she never let us settle for less than what we truly wanted. She could have made a lot more money letting us settle on homes that cost more, but truly didn’t check all the boxes for us. She was always right there with answers to every question we had, plus answers to questions we didn’t even know to ask. Through countless showings of homes and land all over central Kentucky, she always kept our best interest as her number one priority. She had the solution to every obstacle we faced, and stuck it out with us until we truly found the home of our dreams.

I can’t say enough good things about Lucy. From start to finish, she was always there, checking in, making sure we were okay, and actually meaning it. She’s thoughtful, kind, and really took the time to understand what we were dealing with, which meant a lot during a stressful time. Her advice was always on point, and you can tell she truly knows what she’s doing. She goes above and beyond without being asked. We were seriously lucky to have her. Lucy texts or calls proactively. I was down in my back and she assisted me during the decluttering process. Lucy brought down the emotion of the selling process as I had lived in the residence 34 years. Lucy noticed some discoloration from insulation and she personally got down and scrubbed the stone in frigid temperatures

Lucy came to us highly recommended and she definitely lived up to her reputation. She is both professional and down to earth, which is a lovely combination. With seemingly inexhaustible energy, she kept us on track and literally lent a hand multiple times. Lucy has a cheery disposition, full of smiles and encouraging words...and here's the thing: it is genuine. She also gave us astute real estate advice at all points along the way and made the process as easy as possible for us. We are extremely pleased with her services and would not even consider using anyone else as a real estate agent if the need arises in the future.
