Nice person, not great at communicating, flexible, might be new to the career.

Lucas was very flexible on hours of meeting up for showings. He seemed to be on the newer side of reality. He was very professional but he struggled with communication, especially during the closing process. He really struggled to tell us exactly what was going on. We also had to set up all the closing procedures ( home inspections, and any other inspections, also need to have plumbing fixed before we could close). We plus our bank had to call a plumber after weeks of him telling us that one of his plumbers would come out and they never did. Any of our previous Realtors made us set any of the closing stuff up they did all that for us. But we really really struggled with him at closing we got more answers from our loan officer than Lucas. But when we were signing our closing paperwork he stated that he has never closed with these sellers and would do his best on explaining everything. But the only good part of the closing is that he was able to meet up with us where we picked and the time. But he was a nice person but I’m not sure he was the right Realitor for me and my family

Thank you for taking the time to leave an honest review. I truly appreciate your feedback, and I'm sorry your experience didn't fully meet your expectations. I did my best throughout the transaction, especially toward the end, to stay on top of communication. Unfortunately, because this was a Fannie Mae-owned property, there were many times when I simply didn't have updates to provide. The lender often received information before I did, and communication from the seller's side was very limited. Even the closing company and other parties involved experienced delays getting responses from them. Regarding the inspections, I intentionally provide my clients with a list of qualified inspectors and let them choose who they would like to hire. I do this to avoid showing favoritism toward any one inspector and to help avoid potential liability if something is missed during an inspection. I'm always happy to provide recommendations and coordinate where I can, but I want my clients to have the freedom to select the inspector they're most comfortable with. I also sincerely apologize for the plumbing delays. I was working to get someone out as quickly as possible, but the plumber I had been in contact with was trying to fit the work into an already full schedule, and unfortunately we didn't receive timely communication from him. I understand how frustrating that was, especially with closing deadlines approaching. Finally, because the closing company was located in Des Moines and wasn't able to send someone to Mason City, I volunteered to handle the closing with you myself, even though that is typically the responsibility of the closing agent. I wanted to make sure you didn't have to travel and that everything could still be completed locally. I appreciate the kind words about my professionalism and flexibility, and I truly am sorry for the frustrations you experienced especially communication.
