Lori Sanchez enabled me to sell a house In Mt. Laguna, CA from my home in Vermont 3000 miles away.
When my sister in California died I was faced with selling her house; it needed work. I was neither familiar with the resources to get the work done and could not do it myself. I needed somebody familiar with local resources, real estate market, etc. Lori met with me and my siblings at the house on the same day I phoned her agency. She explained the status of the market, the California system, what had to be done prior to selling, and what should be done. She listened to our hopes and expectations.
Within a day she had reviewed the county records, done a study of comparable sales, and suggested a price. She brought (in her own truck) items for “staging”. She arranged or identified house cleaners, movers, carpet cleaners, septic tank service, and termite inspection. The buyer had several inspections; Lori was in contact with his agent through them all (the other agent was not always responsive or available). A fire inspection resulted in many requirements—Lori found an arborist who not only performed the necessary work but also removed an unsightly pile of tree chunks that had been near the house for years. She kept me posted via telephone, email, texts including many photos. The buyer wanted some paint cans removed. Lori found a service to do it but also had to take some of them home with her and then to a suitable disposal site open only on Saturdays. A closing date was set, an extension was granted, an extension to the extension was granted and expired by several days. The buyer was not in the country. I was discouraged to say the least. Lori kicked the butts that needed kicking—the sale was still on! I had difficulty using the on-line signature program used by the escrow agency—Lori fixed it. I was so very lucky to have had Lori as my agent. She did things above and beyond the call of duty. I could not have sold the house without her and cannot say enough good things about her. She is also a nice person.
